The Website Content Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of website content updates within our Content Management System (CMS), publish, maintain, and optimize website content in alignment with digital marketing priorities, brand standards, and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Inbound to the Digital Marketing Strategist and is part of the Digital Marketing Team located in Germany and and will be fully remote. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and collaborative, with a strong interest in digital marketing and website optimization. While execution is the primary focus, this role is also expected to identify opportunities for website improvements and provide content-related recommendations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage Website Content Execution and CMS: Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining website pages in the CMS based on approved briefs and campaign requirements. Ensures accurate and timely publishing aligned with brand, accessibility, SEO, and UX standards, while managing the full content lifecycle (updates, corrections, removals, redirects), performing quality checks, and handling basic image editing for web use.
- Manage the MAPSS Approval Process: Management of the end-to-end MAPSS approval workflow for all website content and digital assets prior to publication, ensuring all required reviews are completed, properly documented, and compliant with internal guidelines, while coordinating feedback and revisions across marketing, legal, regulatory, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Close collaboration with the Inbound Digital Marketing Strategist and collaborates with design, development, analytics, and compliance teams to execute content plans and campaign updates, adhering to established workflows, templates, and governance models, while proactively communicating timelines, progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Apply Quality Assurance and Web Best Practices: Application of web content best practices across structure, readability, accessibility, and SEO/AEO, ensuring consistency across pages and templates, and supporting ongoing content audits, clean-up initiatives, and overall content hygiene to maintain high-quality standards.
- Drive Continuous Website Optimization and Recommendations: Identification of gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities during CMS execution, providing actionable recommendations on page structure, content placement, navigation clarity, and usability, with the goal of enhancing content effectiveness and overall user experience.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Basic understanding of websites, CMS platforms, and digital content concepts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured environment
- Clear written communication and strong collaboration skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Hands-on experience with a CMS (e.g., Sitecore, WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager)
- Familiarity with MAPSS or similar marketing compliance workflows
- Basic knowledge of SEO and web accessibility principles
- Experience working with digital marketing or inbound marketing teams
